#15 – Garry Heaney

Garry Heaney has been involved in the music scene since 2004, learning his trade from continual practice. Garry decided to venture into promotions through his own brand ‘Rehab’, with a clear vision to deliver the hottest Djs in trance to the people of Glasgow.

This experience was invaluable as he got to support the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Sean Tyas, and Andy Moor. In the process Garry learnt how to adapt his set structures and engage with his fans throughout his sets, making him the accomplished DJ he is today.

By 2010 Garry’s passion for music spilled over into production and since then he has gone on to firmly establish himself as one of the most consistent creators of uplifting trance. Garry’s tracks regularly receive massive support from the industry’s elite, receiving airplay on global radio shows BBC Radio 1, Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance’, Sander Van Doorn’s ‘Identity’, Ferry Corsten’s ‘Corsten’s Countdown’, Paul van Dyk’s ‘Voync Sessions’ and Aly & Fila’s ‘Future Sounds of Egypt’.

The young Scotsman’s tracks and remixes feature regularly on world renowned compilation series’ as well as featuring many times in the Top 10 of major worldwide trance charts. The past year has seen his body of work grow in stature, continually releasing uplifting monsters on Spinnin’s sub-label Liquid and his signing to Armin van Buuren’s ‘Armada’ imprint.

His progress in 2012 did not go unnoticed as his productions hit the BBC Radio 1 airwaves with regular plays from Judge Jules. As a result Garry has seen the demand for remixes rapidly increase, already lining up remix duties with Armada, Fraction and Vandit.
